About Us
The Colleges Against Cancer chapter at MIT is sponsored by the American Cancer Society and works to fight cancer through grassroots advocacy, prevention and early detection education, Relay For Life, and activities honoring cancer survivors. MIT CAC is part of a network of more than 175 other colleges and universities nationwide. These chapters share ideas and inspiration through phone calls, regular emails, and a monthly newsletter.
MIT Student Leader Awards
MIT College's Against Cancer has won a Student Leader Award 2011 for the group's work to organize Relay For Life of MIT! We couldn't have done it without all of our volunteers, participants, and sponsors. Thanks everybody!
Relay For Life
This year’ MIT's Relay For Life will take place at Johnson Center on March 10-11, 2012, 6pm-6am. Sign up here.
Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s biggest fundraiser of the year. It’s a great way to involve entire communities in the fight against this disease. Relay aims to Celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, to Remember loved ones lost to the disease, and to Fight Back against it through research and treatment. Last year we raised over $40,000 for cancer research, advocacy, education, and patient care!
